Pastor RAKESH
Treasurer of Cherished By Faith Mission
My name is Rakesh, I was born Jan 05, 1991 in a place called “Palwal” in Distt. Faridabad, State Haryana. India. I am the second child of the family. After me there are one brother and one sister. I was born in orthodox Hindu family which had been practicing Hindu rituals and practices since my forefathers. In the age of seventeen, God choose me for His glory. It was tremendous to know Him and His glorious power. I was affected with the sick-first stage of heart attack which led my family to believe in Jesus Christ when was healed.

Theologically, I was completely illiterate when I started my Christian education from my church itself. I started reading the Bible and began understanding some parts of the scripture. In 2009, God opened the way for me to study His words at GBC (Grace Bible College & Seminary. I enrolled myself for B.Th. (Bachelor of Theology). It was a great exercise of learning God’s word and knowing how great His works are. I was graduated from the college in 2012. After graduating college, I was involved in the full-time ministry with “Compassion International” for one year. In 2013, God gave me another opportunity to study His word. I went to Kerala around 1100 miles away from my hometown. There I was studying for my M.Div. (Master of Divinity). By the grace of God, I graduated from the college in 2016.

After completing my study, I again went to Nagpur and joined “Compassion International”. I was ministered with them around four months. In May 2016, under the guidelines of the government, the organization was banned. I came back to my hometown, and shortly, God gave me another opportunity to minister with “Operation Agape". I was involved in the translation ministry, and while there, God blessed me to be married. In Oct 2016, I was married to Kanika Chauhan. She is also a God-fearing woman, and she completed her B.Th. from Grace Bible College in 2014. Now I was married and serving the Lord with my wife. In 2018 I met with an accident and my right leg was broken. I could not continue the ministry there. My wife and I remained praying for God’s will in our future ministry and service. God opened the way for us to join this ministry and share the vision of serving Him and people in the Kurios Ministry Trust India as a body of Christ.

We are serving the Lord with all our strength, mind and will. Let this be the blessing to all.
