Tribal Mission Report

Introduction - According to Indian Government research the Sonebhadra area in Southeast Uttar Pradesh is the home to several indigenous groups of people referred to as tribes. They live in a jungle environment without any city facilities like electricity, water, schools, or even businesses. There are several several villages with different languages and cultures under the the leadership of a village chief (Gram Pradhan), and they have never heard of Jesus and His love and sacrificial love for all people of the world. They are living in the darkness of sins and becoming lost to God and desolate without salvation offered freely through Christ Jesus

CBFM and Our Purpose to Visit the Tribes - As we learned more about the area, we decided to visit the area so that our Mission Trip could introduce the One true God and His Love and compassion for their life. Our Bible teaches us about the Great Commission in Matthew 28: 19-20, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Results of this Tribal Mission - As the CBFM team visited 15 villages in the region, we shared with the residents about Christ's love and compassion for all humans of any age or race. We pointed out that we are all sinners , lost in the darkness of sin in this world. Without a Savior to reconcile us with God we are lost forever. This sharing of the Gospel made many people more interested and wanted to know more about Jesus and His love and compassion. To help them know more about the Good News, we gave 30 full Hindi Bibles as gifts to individuals to read and study the Lord's Word. They can now read and learn more about Jesus and His Kingdom, and His sacrifice for our sin so they might accept salvation and eternal life through the Risen Christ. A total of 50 people came forward to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Hallelujah! Glory to God!

Goals for Our Mission - We are planning to bring a more fruitful and better education of the Lord's Word to these tribes for the next six years. We will help build fellowship halls for their areas where they can hear the Word of God being taught to them and enjoy the company of other believers. These halls will provide newcomers to also learn about the free gift of Salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Spiritually maturity is also an area where we can help them to understand Christian love and servitude for Jesus.

Conclusion - The CBFM team and staff want to acknowledge the the infinite Grace of God in providing for us and protecting us on our mission trip. I personally want to thank my staff for their efforts to bring the Word to this region. Likewise, I also want to thank the village officials in allowing us access to preach the Word of God to the residents of the 15 villages that CBFM on this trip. Finally I want to thank the donors and prayer warriors for your generous support and faithful prayers. Your help enabled us to present full Hindi Bibles to villagers interested in learning about Christ and His Good News and the acceptance of Christ as lord and Savior by 50 villagers!

Telgurwa, Dalla, Gurmura, Duddi, Churk, Kainapan, and Gothani
