Construction of Widows Protection Center

 

After the proper funding, the Cherished By Faith Mission will commence the arrangement for constructing the Widows Protection Center. In this regard, the team of the Cherished By Faith Mission will purchase the required land area for construction.  The estimated time for the completion of the construction will be from 4 to 6 months. After construction, the required items to provide proper shelter and settlement for 15 widows will be ensured initially. However the arrangement will be enhanced if more deserving widows are identified. The development of the Widows Protection & Settlement Center will ensure a permanent place for the widows where they will receive respect, good health care, increasing skills and opportunities and, most importantly, a safe place to reside.

 

Livelihood Vocational Training

 

The selected widows will be acquainted with the Capacity Building training on earning livelihoods for the purpose becoming independent and skilled. For this purpose, professional parts from the field of stitching, embroidery and handicraft will provide 6 months training to the widows. Each Woman will be provided with the sewing Machine which after training becomes the personal asset of the widows. The provision of capacity building training will surely reduce their dependence on the society. This will also be helpful in increasing their dignity and self-worth as they will earn income by their own efforts.

In the Widows Protection Center, awareness seminars concerning women rights will be presented to them. The motive of the seminars is to empower the widows by teaching their fundamental rights and freedoms. An expert resource person will be hired for this purpose who will convey effective and useful information regarding their basic rights. In the seminars, motivational documentaries related to famous women personalities will be shown to them for the purpose of enhancing their self-belief and determination in themselves.

Healthy Environment for Widows

In the Widows Protection and Settlement Center, one of the prime focuses will be dedicated to the improvement and maintenance of the widow’s health. Since the team of Passion of Christ will monitor, repair, and report any problem with hygiene issues in the Center. Therefore, keeping in view their plight, the hygienic measures will be ensured to provide the healthiest environment for the widows. The dietary requirements of the widows will be properly met by the management of Passion of Christ Ministries.

 

Awareness Sessions for Widows regarding Women Rights

In the Widows Protection Center, awareness seminars concerning women rights will be presented to them. The motive of the seminars is to empower the widows by teaching their fundamental rights and freedoms. An expert resource person will be hired for this purpose who will convey effective and useful information regarding their basic rights. In the seminars, motivational documentaries related to famous women personalities will be shown to them for the purpose of enhancing their self-belief and determination in themselves

Seminars for Religious Knowledge

 

To increase the devotion and religious knowledge of Widows, seminars focusing on religious preaching will be given to them. Weekly sessions will be conducted with them by the Cherished By Faith Mission to strengthen their faith and life.

 

The significance of extending the message of religious preaching in the name of Jesus Christ is immense and quite useful because it will strengthen their faith and courage in devoting their lives to words the values of Jesus Christ.

 

Awareness Seminars with the Opinion Makers of the Society

 

After the functioning of Widows Protection and Settlement Center, the team of the Mission will organize an awareness seminar with the major opinion makers of the society. The main objective of conducting this seminar is to educate the society to extent the sentiments of respect, care & affection towards the widows for the purpose of restoring and uplifting their fundamental rights in the light of human values. Most concerning issues of widows will be discussed in the seminars and suggestions will be taken from the opinion makers to help in overcoming the wave of violence and intimidation against vulnerable widows.
