The solution to breaking this destructive cycle requires a dedicated facility to assist these poor orphans to eliminate their immediate issues with shelter, food, and clothing. This provides a stable basis to protect them from the outside world's influence in drugs, and other criminal activity. Additionally, the orphan home provides religious teachings which provide moral guidance and the basis for personal integrity. With the ability to attend  schooling, the orphanage home provides opportunities to improve their future to become a productive citizen and be able to support their families! But most of all, these children grow knowing that they are loved by the home's staff, the donors who contribute to the home, and by God.

Cherished By Faith Mission (CBFM or The Mission) has started and is operating an orphanage home for the affected Christian children (both male and female of age range 3-15) to give them basic love and concern, shelter, food, and clothing. Likewise, their education and skill development are being supported too. This support by the Mission will strengthen their families and give them courage to face life bravely with a potential of a much brighter future. These steps below outline our path forward as we operate and develop a permanent home and expand as needed for the future!

Orphans in The Holy Scriptures

 

Many books of the Holy Bible contain the idea that helping and defending orphans is an especially important and God pleasing matter.

 

• "Do not take advantage of a window or an orphan.” (Exodus 22.22)

 

• "Leave your orphans; I will protect their lives. Your widows too can trust in me.” (Jeremiah 49:11)

 

• "Religion that God, our Father, accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)
